This is When Nature Calls premium cacao bars infused with eight functional mushrooms, crafted to elevate your ritual and nurture the mind-body connection.
Rich, velvety, and deeply nourishing, this blend enhances vitality, boosts energy, and strengthens immunity—transforming every sip into a moment of holistic wellness.
The Vision
At the heart of this design lies a desire to craft a meaningful, sensory experience—one that honors the sacred ritual of cacao and its deep connection to nature.
The packaging was designed to embody the essence of ceremonial cacao: calm, intentional, and grounded. Each cacao bar rests within a bespoke bamboo box, radiating quiet elegance and natural beauty. Wrapped around it is a textured paper sleeve, its shimmering copper foil adding a refined touch of modern luxury that enhances the unboxing ritual.
But the story doesn’t end there. For returning customers, we envisioned a refill system: a thoughtful and practical solution to reduce waste while maintaining the premium experience. With sustainability woven into its design, this system ensures that every interaction with the product feels intentional and special.
The Journey
The design process began with a deep dive into the ceremonial cacao ritual, seeking to understand its essence and emotional resonance.
What does it feel like to pause, to truly connect with the senses, and to honor the moment? How can packaging become an extension of this sacred experience? These questions became the foundation of our creative exploration, shaping every decision—from the materials to the design.
Each element was designed to elevate the ritual, creating a harmonious blend of functionality, beauty, and reverence for the cacao experience.
The Design
The bespoke bamboo boxes, with their smooth sliding lids, turn each unboxing into a quiet moment of self-care. An engraved logo adds a tactile and elegant touch, enhancing the sensory experience and inviting connection.
The paper sleeve embodies understated sophistication. Crafted from a blend of bamboo and FSC-certified virgin pulp, it achieves the perfect balance between luxurious texture and environmental responsibility.
A delicate touch of copper foil catches the light, adding a subtle shimmer that elevates the design without overpowering its simplicity.
The translucent info card offers yet another layer of engagement.
Made from Cromático Extra White Transparent paper, it sparks curiosity by revealing subtle glimpses of the cacao bar beneath.
Translucent yet durable, the FSC-certified card features clean typography and geometric accents, echoing the design of the main packaging. Clear instructions on preparing a cacao ceremony make it a practical and integral part of the ritual.

By blending thoughtful design, eco-conscious materials, and a profound understanding of the brand’s mission, this project demonstrates how packaging can transcend functionality, becoming both an extension of the product and an unforgettable part of the ritual it celebrates.
The Materials
Every material in this packaging was chosen with intention, designed to honour the environment as much as it celebrates the ritual of cacao.
The bamboo box:
Often called “nature’s wonder material,” bamboo was the ideal choice for the main packaging. Fast-growing, self-regenerating, and pesticide-free, bamboo is as sustainable as it is beautiful. Designed for longevity, the box can be refilled with new cacao bars or repurposed as a keepsake, storage container, or gift box, ensuring its story continues long after the cacao is enjoyed.
The refill box:
The refill concept offers a thoughtful alternative to purchasing a new bamboo box. Customers can opt for a refill packaged in an innovative paper box made from uncoated paper with finely ground cocoa bean husks. The texture and natural tones of the cocoa fibers seamlessly connect the packaging to the cacao it holds, blending sustainability with beauty.
